Device Rescue makes it easy to track the full lifecycle of every asset by assigning devices to team members or office branches and preserving a complete assignment history.
Assigning an Asset
You can assign an asset one-to-one — meaning each asset can be assigned to only one team member or one office branch at a time.
When assigning an asset, you will:
-
Select the Team Member or Office Branch
-
Set an Assigned Date (required)
-
Optionally add an Assignment Note for additional context (e.g., project assignment, department details)
📝 Tip: Adding a short note during assignment helps keep historical context for future reference.
Returned Assignments (Assignment History)
The Returned tab shows the complete history of all past assignments for the asset, including:
-
Who the asset was assigned to (team member or office branch)
-
The dates the asset was assigned and returned
-
Any assignment notes that were added at the time
This ensures you have a full record of the asset’s movement and usage over its lifecycle.
Important Rules
-
An asset can only be actively assigned to one place at a time (team member or branch)
-
Once an asset is unassigned (returned), it becomes available for new assignments
-
All past assignment records are permanently saved in the Returned tab for audit and tracking purposes
🔄 Reassigning an Asset: After an asset is returned, it can be reassigned to another team member or office branch at any time.
