Device Rescue makes it easy to ship available assets from our warehouse inventory directly to a designated team member or office branch. This process ensures fast deployment of equipment while keeping your asset records automatically updated.
Both Admins and User roles can initiate a Ship & Assign.
What Ship & Assign Does
Select an available asset currently stored at the warehouse
Choose to ship it to a Team Member or an Office Branch
Set the Deliver By date (the date that our team aims to have the asset delivered on or by)
Add optional Shipping Protection Plan for asset protection
Upload optional Instructions for the recipient (PDF file)
Once Device Rescue ships the asset, it will automatically assign the asset to the selected team member or branch, using the ship date as the official assignment date
How to Ship & Assign an Asset
Go to Company Assets and click Ship & Assign
Select an asset from the available warehouse inventory
Choose who you're shipping to:
Team Member – Assign directly to an individual
Office Branch – Assign to a location
Select a Deliver By date to guide when the shipment should arrive
Choose an optional Shipping Protection Plan option:
No Shipping Protection (free)
Up to $1,000 Protection
Up to $2,000 Protection
Up to $3,000 Protection
(Optional) Upload Instructions (PDF only, up to 5MB) for the recipient
Review the shipment summary
Click Complete Order to submit the shipment request
Important Notes
Only assets stored at the warehouse can be shipped using this process
Once shipped, the asset is automatically assigned—no manual follow-up needed
Uploaded instructions (PDF) will be included in the communication with the receiving team member or branch
Shipping Protection is optional but recommended for higher-value equipment
