Introduction
As an administrator on the Device Rescue platform, understanding the different user statuses is crucial to efficiently manage your team's access. This guide will explain the meaning of each user status and what it implies about the user's ability to interact with the platform.
User Status Explained
On the Account Users page, you'll notice a 'Status' column in the user table. This column displays the current status of each user in your account. Here are the three possible user statuses you might see:
-
Active: This status means that the user's account is fully operational. They have verified their email address and can log in to the platform without any issues. The 'Active' status indicates that the user has full access to all features and functionalities provided by Device Rescue.
-
Invited: This status is assigned to users who have been sent an invitation to join your Device Rescue account but haven't completed the sign-up process. The 'Invited' status suggests that the user has received the welcome email but has not yet set their password. These users won't be able to access the platform until they set their password and activate their account.
-
Inactive: An 'Inactive' status indicates that the user's account has been deactivated. Inactive users are restricted from logging into their accounts. If an inactive user attempts to log in, they will encounter an error message advising them to contact their company administrator. The 'Inactive' status is typically assigned when a user no longer needs access to the system, either temporarily or permanently.
Summary
Understanding the status of each user helps administrators manage their team's access effectively. By keeping an eye on these statuses, you can ensure that all users have the appropriate level of access and that there are no unresolved invitations or unnecessary active accounts.
